This will cannot be fixed. Those around us, however, will try. Most are well-intentioned, perhaps, but that doesn't make their words helpful.
When loss hits, life changes. This includes our relationships. So often, the people arond us don't understrand. We can feel rejected, invisible, and alone.
When someone dies, we lose not only them, but many things attached to them. The losses can pile up quickly.
People are us how we're doing. How are we supposed to answer that one? "I'm fine," is a typical response, even though that might be the opposite of how we feel.
Grief is exhausting. Missing someone can be incredibly draining. Everything seems like a solo climb of Mount Everest.
When we get hit by loss, our entire being feels the shock. We can feel like we're somehow disappearing, like shadows in the night.
Some losses change everything. We're not the same people we used to be. How could we be?
