When the world stands still........

When the world stops and stands still,
Along come the thoughts and memories that kill.
The could've, would've should'ves come,
Thinking of how I could've saved you Son.
They say "Hell have no fury like a woman scorned"
More like fear the woman who's child she mourns.
Anger, depression rolled up in confusion,
Happiness now is a farytail a mistaken illusion.
For that second in time when nothing moves,
When your heart and your brain say there is nothing to lose.
When you feel that knot deep in your throat,
Or when a song comes on and you hear that first note.
That sneaky little tear that trickles down your face,
You want to run to that dark corner, your hiding place.
Because when the world stands still,
Those are the moments that continue to kill.
