Winks from Heaven

Do you ever run across something that seems like a “wink from Heaven?” ~  uniquely designed to warm your soul and let you know all is good with a family member or friend who has gone to be with the Lord?

For you, it might be a bright red cardinal, a song or a colorful butterfly that brings your dear loved one to mind.

Some of my American Widow Project friends (wives of fallen US Military Heroes)- talk about finding rocks, seashells and  even clouds- custom crafted in the shape of a heart. How cool is that?

A recent “wink” came to me in the form of a tiny dress my mom had hand-smocked 35+ years ago. Mom believed every self-respecting Southern grand daughter should have at least one “Beazy” smocked dress or nightgown in her wardrobe at all times!

Whether your “winks” come in the form a white cloud heart, a smocked Beazy dress, or a even a classic Beatles melody- I love how they remind us that we have not been forgotten, and neither has our loved one!

Have you experienced this kind of sweet reminder of a beloved friend or family member?  Please share your stories in the comments of our Grief Survivor Facebook page.
