A Reason To Smile

Photograph by Marji Stevens

I took care of my mother-in-law for twelve years in my home. We built a lovely in-law space off the back of our 200 year old farmhouse.  When she died, in 2013, she was 97-years old.

That beautiful space became my art studio where I work and hold classes.  One day, as I was really missing her company, I glaced out the picture window and saw this amazing little creature standing in my back yard.

It truely made me smile when I realized I'd captured a great shot of this little fawn. I've watched him grow and every few days he'll pass my window.  The spots have disappeared now and he's quite the magnificant buck.

Enjoy!
