A Woman With The Blues

A woman left blue, a woman in pain

The deeper you love, the more that you gain

The more that you gain, the more you can lose

And that’s how you end up,

A woman with the  blues

The one that you love has left your side

Now that he’s gone, it’s hard to go on –

You just want to die

And that’s how it starts, with your broken heart

Your soul it just burns, you drown it with booze

And that’s how you end up

A woman with the blues.

How does the story end, my friend?

I know you’ve heard the news

My man he died, I’m dead inside

That’s how I became a woman with the blues

It’s not what I choose, got nothing to lose

And that’s how you end up a woman,

A woman with the blues.
