God put Angel Wings Upon you

For he had to call you home

We didn’t see this day was coming

Oh, how I wish we could have known

I would have wrapped my arms around you

I would have never let you go

I would have kissed your face so softly

I Love you more than you could know

You have touched my life in ways

Looking back, I never knew

I guess I took for granted

Some of the time I had with you

I miss the Smile upon your face

I long to hear your voice

I will try to stay so strong for you

I don’t feel I have a Choice

I will never take for Granted

One more moment of my day

I won’t get mad at little things

I’ll Love my Life while you’re away

I will spend each day without you

As though you’re at my side

My Future will be amazing

I will fill your Soul with Pride

And on the days I struggle

When it’s hard to carry on

I know that you’ll be there with me

For your Spirit is not Gone
