If I Had Known That I Was Leaving

If I had known that I was leaving

I would have stopped to say goodbye

So, Please don’t feel sad that I didn’t

For I don’t want to see you cry

If you could see me now, I’m happy

I pray your sadness goes away

I’m free from sickness, pain, and anger

I’m filled with Love from God each day

I never dreamed that for a moment

That You’d let go of all you love

I know you have the strength within you

To live a life, that I’m proud of

I can still see you and I hear you

I feel the love you send my way

You do not spend a day without me

For I watch over you each day

I am beside you as you lie in bed

And talk to me at night

I wipe the tears upon your cheeks

I try to make your days seem bright

Please live your life now to the fullest

Catch your dreams and shine with love

For I am living life through your eyes

I’m safe in Heaven’s arms above
