Grief Survivor~ 28 Steps toward Hope and Healing
If you or someone you know is feeling crushed in sorrow... you are not alone!
If you or someone you know is feeling crushed in sorrow... you are not alone!
This message is to my Daddy
From your 'Angel Son' above
I'm so proud that you're my Daddy
And will always feel your love
Please don't worry about the future
Although you never got to see me grow
Often I'll walk down 'Memory Lane'
And meet such special people there
A big smile sweeps across my face
As I recall good times we've shared
At times I even laugh out loud
People must think I'm mad
Grief is not a competition
“Well I was married for 30 years!” the woman cried, eyes indignant, almost challenging me.
This was the reaction of a friend’s grandmother when she found out I was widowed too.
She clearly thought her pain of loss was much worse.
I'm The Proud Mother Of 'An Angel'
Who Was Too Special For This Earth
God Had Different Plans For Her
So He Took Her Back At Birth
He Blessed Her First With Family
Promising 'Families Are Forever'
Dear Lord,
When You're Sitting With My Baby
As He's Nestling On Your Knee
When He Smiles Up Into Your Face
Will You Talk To Him Of Me
Tell Him He Is Loved So Much
You Touched So Many Lives For Good
I wonder If You Knew
Always So Gentle And So Kind
People Thought The World Of You
Reaching Out To Those In Need
Always Happy To Lend A Hand
“TEARS”
Such salty water flows from my eyes –
when I think I’m doing fine.
I’m going through the steps of life-
is this some kind of sign?
I desire to be a happy soul –
in all I say and do.
But at those times when tears just fall –
The moment of our loss, all pretense, the mask, falls away. What is seen is the inner us, so raw and broken; completely destroyed. Those around us see how lost we have become in that instant. It is hard for them to bear what they see. We really don't see those around us, feel their pain or sorrow. Life does not exist for us where we have been tossed.
Choosing the wording for a headstone or memorial can be a really difficult and even stressful process. I have been carving headstones for over ten years, and I want to share some ideas to help you choose the right wording.
1.Try to keep it simple
