If I knew this was the last night with you..

Wrote this this morning for Krystle, my daughter who passed July 30, 2013.   I was thinking..If I had known this time last year that this was her last day on earth, what would I do..what would I say...what would you do if you knew it was the last time you would see your loved one? If I had known, that tomorrow
would be your last day on earth,
I would have stayed up all night with you,
And told you what you were worth.
We would have relived old memories
The ones from days gone by
And when the angel came for you
I'd wipe a tear from my eye.
We would have laughed so hard that night
Remembering so many things
But we would have felt the sorrow
That this night would also bring.
I would have held you close my child
So you would again hear my heart
I would quietly pray to God
Please Lord, don't let us part.
I would tell you that I loved you
And I am so proud of you
You have brought me joy and laughter
And Yes, a few gray hairs too!
I'd make sure you were ready
And calm all your fears
Wrap you up in love
And wipe away your tears.
I would tell you of your family
That soon you would meet
They will be there to guide you
ON that other golden street.
I would tell ya not to cry
Don't be scared my child
Momma will be there shortly
It  just might be a while.
I would tell you of your animals
that on earth gave you love
and remind you they are waiting
For you in Heaven above.
And when that angel came
To greet you at your bed
I would slowly turn to go
And sadly bow my head.
I don't want you to see me cry
Or make it hard for you to go
Your time here is done my child
A new life soon you will know.
I would tell you that I will miss you
But I know you're not far away
And when you get to missin me
I know you'll find your way.
Tell the family hello from me
And, I will be there soon
But for now my daughter,
Play with stars and ride the moon!
