Words for the Journey

Discover a sanctuary of perspectives, tools, and shared experiences written for people living with grief.

Each day I wake up

I close my eyes

I take a deep breath

lookng up to see if you can see me

can you hear me?

there are many beliefs to what happens to our loved ones

once you say goodbye

All I know was you called me the apple of your eye

So all I can do is look up at the sky

Keep my head high

Try everything not to cry

to understand why in life

we have to die?

So very sad, and so very true

appreciate all that you have

One day it will be gone too

you will have to carry on

fight with all you have

to keep on this earth your mom and your dad

always say I love you

live your life as you have

there is nothing you can do

but you can chose to be happy or sad

its almost a year already, I can't believe you are no longer here

I try not to but every day I shed a tear

I made you a promise

I swore on my life

that after a year

i put down the knife

i will stop and try to understand

Wherever you are you are a better man...
