I am standing right beside you

As I wipe away your tear

You see I never really left you

For Heaven truly is right here

I hear you asking God

Why on Earth I had to go

But, I’m still standing at your side

I love you more than you could know

Heaven is truly all around you

I am the wind within your hair

I am the sun upon your face

Yes I am truly everywhere

I am standing right beside you

As you stumble and you fall

I pick you up and dust you off

And then I help you to stand tall

I am the feather on the ground

When you’ve missed me so that day

I am the wings on birds in flight

To tell you I’m not far away

I am standing right beside you

As your path continues on

So please don’t ever think I left you

For I was never truly gone
