For As My Angel Watches Over Me

I have an Angel up in Heaven

And that sweet Angel has a Name

My Angel watches me as I live

Life here without them isn’t the same

As they watch down on me from Heaven

I wonder what it is they see

Do they see me as I cry for them

If so, I don’t want that to be

I hope that they can see me Happy

I hope to always make them proud

I will just show them that I love them

I’d shout it out amongst a crowd

I’ll carry them each day that I live

They’ll have a space inside my Heart

I’ll honor them in all that I do

As if we’ve never been apart

For as my Angel watches over me

I know they wouldn’t want my tears

They don’t want guilt or pain or anger

They filled my life with love for years

So as I journey now in my life

I know their always at my side

They lift me up the days I stumble

They’re proud of me because I tried

And some day I will be an Angel

And we will meet again above

For now they’ll live their life through my eyes

And I will fill their Soul with Love
