Words for the Journey

Discover a sanctuary of perspectives, tools, and shared experiences written for people living with grief.

My bones literally ache for her
She's with me in a way
But it's so not enough for me to survive
Or want to face another day
She's in the breeze
She's in the signs she promised she would send
But, my God, I want to hold her now
Or I want my life to end
A life sentence without her touch
Is more than I can bear
I want to find her in her robe and slippers
I want to find her in her computer chair
I want to find her at her mirror
I want to find her fixing her hair
I want to find her at her school
I want to find her anywhere
But all those things are empty
All starved of her presence too

But what's more empty is my heart

It was all over too soon
