Words for the Journey

Discover a sanctuary of perspectives, tools, and shared experiences written for people living with grief.

Sometimes just for one moment,
The seconds when I open my eyes,
I forget that you're not here now,
And all the tears I cried.

I think that you're still with me,
Still alive, happy and well.
And for a tiny moment each day,
I feel my life is all well.

But then I must remember,
The feeling fills me with fear
For life is no longer beautiful,
my big brother is not here

I miss you so very much Paul,
Every single day.
Your death has left a heartache,
That will never go away.
