Update from The Bobby Resciniti Healing Hearts Foundation, June 2012
I would like to give you a real quick foundation update.
- Our annual appreciation picnic will be held on one Sunday in September. It will be held at Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek. Date TBD.
- Our Angel walk(s) were excellent. A little rain at Tradwinds but the walk went off anyways! 300 people stuck it out and it turned out to be an awesome and emotional day. We were fortunate to have Mitch Carmody as the Master of Ceremony and what a job he did to kick it off! Two weeks later, we had another walk at St. Thomas Aquinas, with their students and faculty! The kids surprise us with a check for $1,000! Joe Rose said a few words and walked with us!
- To date, we have done 3 portraits and 7 pendants.
- Our annual golf and dinner will be held November 8th and 9th respectively. The golf location has not been determined. Dinner will be held, for the sixth consecutive year at The Marriott in Coral Springs! We are starting the plans for the golf and dinner already! It will be awesome!
- Bobby’s Place is doing great! We have a new grief counselor heading up all the programs and grief groups. She comes with a wealth of knowledge and credentials. Her name is Marsha Levine Arias. She specializes in grief & bereavement and is one of the most sought after speakers in Broward county. We are very fortuante to have Marsha on our team! If you know of someone that may be interested in a parent support group, please have them email Marsha at [email protected]. We will also be opening Bobby’s Place up for all “grief support groups”, not limited to only bereaved parents, but all types of loss. The next parent group will be starting on June 18th at 6:30pm. - Great news – we have a new addition to the Resciniti family. Patrick and Michelle got married last week. It was an awesome day! Welcome aboard Patch!!! (pictures attached)
