Words for the Journey

Discover a sanctuary of perspectives, tools, and shared experiences written for people living with grief.

My daughter wrote this for her daddy/my husband

He was retired Air Force, an Air Traffic Controller for 13 years and a private pilot.  How beautiful is this???

Life Is A Plane

Today I need you to think of me

without tears in your eyes

because I laughed more than I cried.

It is your turn to take control

of  the plane I left behind.

Thank you for being with me

and preparing me for my final flight.

I have given you the strength

that I held onto as long as I could,

so when you look up in the sky

just know it is my time to fly.
