Death of a Child

Who survives the death of their child? Do parents feel they even really want to survive the death of their child? The death of my child was the most devastating loss and pain I have ever felt and those that walk in a similar journey would agree.

I don't grieve silently;I don't do it well. The reason is  That my heart does swell. The pain so acute;Too much to endure. Letting it outIs the only cure.

Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck. Dalai LamaThinking about my son's October 1st death anniversary, it struck me that it was the unlucky 13th anniversary. Now in another situation one might say - it's lucky 13 but, how can anyone ever imagine anything being lucky about a child's death?
