Murder

We're hurting. The last thing we need is to be evaluated. Unkind and unhelpful words end up only adding to our burdens.

In times of loss, sadness can easily deepen into depression. It feels like we've fallen into a pit, and sometimes the pit can grow very dark indeed. 

Grief is draining. Exhausting. No wonder there are times when nothing seems to matter much anymore. 

Loss hits our souls too. It can jostle us spiritually. We come to realize just how little we control. 

Guilt is seemingly never far from any of us. When we're grieving, it can become a frequent visitor. Surely someone, somewhere is to blame for all this. It might as well be us. 

Special days become huge triggers for grieving hearts. Birthdays can be especially difficult. 

The human voice is powerful. Our ears are attuned to the pitch and cadence of the voices of those we love. We hear them in our hearts and our dreams.

When loss hits, we feel vulnerable. This is natural and common, but uncomfortable. Life feels shaky, even scary now.

This will cannot be fixed. Those around us, however, will try.  Most are well-intentioned, perhaps, but that doesn't make their words helpful.

When loss hits, life changes. This includes our relationships. So often, the people arond us don't understrand. We can feel rejected, invisible, and alone.
