It’s said to be one of the worst things that can happen to a person: experiencing the death of a child. There’s a story behind each child lost. My unhappy journey began in 2009, when my oldest son Charlie, 23, died of pneumonia. 

Someday, in a far away place, I will join you and when,The sky meets the heavens, together, we'll see the stars again.

What do I do now? - It's like you're on a vacation, I do not feel like you are gone, forever. It breaks my heart to even want to think about it but the reality is you are gone and you are gone forever. I cannot begin to picture my life without you. What hurts the most as there was no warning..just a phone call at six am telling me you were dead.

Wayne lived out in the country. Walking into his house was like entering a cave. The curtains were closed, the lights off.Wayne sat in his recliner, staring at the wall. Neither of us said anything for several minutes.Finally, Wayne began to shake. His face contorted as if in pain. His eyes were red from lack of sleep.“I miss her so much,” he stammered.

  How do I teach you that your loved ones are with you and watching over you from Heaven?  How do I help you to know that they are not missing out on all of your accomplishments and milestones that you have reached in life.

The Brick Wall

One of the biggest things I like when I write a story or paint a picture is that if you screw up, you can always go back and fix it. On canvass or within the story, there is always a different way, a different path. Life is partly that way too. You usually have a choice, a chance to change things.

What was I saying, when I got the news?Was I telling a story, humming a tune?

It's an amazing, eye opening moment when you realize that the one thing you thought, no, you knew that you personally could never do, would never be able to live through, you can. You are doing it and it isn't going to kill you as you previously thought it would if God forbid it happened to you.
